A barometric depression that will form on Monday in the eastern Mediterranean, should extend in the coming days to the Dodecanese region, according to forecast data from the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr. The result of the presence of this depression will be the predominance of the northern current in the Aegean Sea and  the noticeable drop in temperature and precipitation that will occasionally occur mainly in the south.

Northerly winds in the Aegean Sea during the two days of Tuesday and Wednesday will reach eight beauforts locally. From the evening hours of Tuesday, warns meteo.gr, the weather in the southern Aegean Sea is expected to show significant deterioration with heavy rains and thunderstorms, phenomena that are expected to persist in Crete until the morning hours of Thursday, giving very high rainfall heights.
