Chinese: Queues in China for the experimental vaccine against coronavirus

Hundreds of people are flocking to hospitals in the Chinese city of Yiwu to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, although clinical trials are not complete.According to the BBC report, citizens rushed to the city’s hospital on Saturday morning before it even opened its gates in order to get priority paper and get coveted immunity.Citizens then pay around 50 euros and receive the vaccine.

Last week, Chinese diplomacy announced that the country was part of an international mechanism to provide developing countries with vaccines to prevent coronavirus infection, an initiative taken by the World Health Organization. The Asian giant, where the new coronavirus first infected humans late last year, is at the forefront of vaccine research, with 11 of those candidates in clinical trials, for a total of around 60 internationally.
