The PHEA today announced 438 new cases of the coronavirus in the country including 32 linked to known clusters and 28 identified during checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases is 25,370, of which 55.6% are men. Of the total number of coronavirus cases, 3,475 (13.9%) are considered to be linked to travel from abroad and 10,037 (40.3%) are linked to an already known case.
According to EODY, 84 of our fellow citizens are treated by intubation. Their median age is 66. 24 (28.6%) are women and the rest are men. 94.0% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. 256 patients were discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 9 other registered deaths and 509 deaths in total in the country. 193 (37.9%) are women and the rest are men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years old and 96.3% had an underlying disease and / or 70 years and over.
