Coronavirus: Preventive quarantine in a village of Nafpaktia

 

Three other people lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus today, Thursday, in Attica, which has been on “orange” alert for several weeks. At the same time, reports indicate that a village in Nafpaktia has been quarantined for precautionary reasons. This is in particular an 82 year old man who had underlying illnesses and died in Attikon at dawn. A 51 year old man who was hospitalized in a single bed ,died at “Gennimatas” and note that he also had underlying illnesses. An 86-year-old man has died of coronavirus in Athens Naval Hospital, without concomitant illness. The total death toll in our country stands at 429.

Village of Nafpaktia in a precautionary quarantine 
Residents of a village in the mountains of Nafpaktia entered precautionary quarantine and came into contact with a confirmed case who traveled to the village for a memorial service. The woman came from Athens and when she returned on Monday she tested positive, according to ERT. Her husband’s test came back negative, while the 30 residents of Central decided to self-quarantine and stay home pending EODY’s instructions.

The necessary measures have been taken by the municipality of Nafpaktia and there is communication with EODY. According to president of the village, on Sunday around 40 people were present at the memorial service and observed the security measures.
