Disturbance during night flight from Athens to Heraklion

A great uproar reigned last night at the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” because of the refusal of a woman to wear a mask on the plane, which would fly to Heraklion, in Crete. According to local website Cretalive.gr, the woman’s strong objections to obeying the crew’s instructions stranded the plane at the airport for about an hour, delaying the flight and disrupting around 200 passengers. The passenger in question boarded the aircraft at around 10:20 p.m. (the departure time was originally scheduled for 10:40 p.m.) and sat in her seat without wearing a mask.

Immediately, the flight attendants asked her to wear her mask , as provided. The passenger, however, stubbornly refused. It was first moved to another location on the aircraft while the other passengers were protesting loudly .The aircraft crew was forced to notify airport security of the event. When airport security officers attempted to get the woman off the plane, she reportedly passed out.A few minutes later, an ambulance rushed to the trail to pick up the woman. The flight finally took off shortly after 11:30 p.m.It is questionable how the woman managed to pass the airport checks and board the plane without wearing her mask.
