Greece has just made a new daily record of coronavirus cases exceeding 600 for the first time of which among the cases already recorded, young people constitute the majority and adding that people between the ages of 18 and 39 made up around 60 to 70% of the coronavirus, health officials said.
A student in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (TEFAA) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) was placed in home isolation on Wednesday because he tested positive for the coronavirus. According to information available to us and based on current EODY health protocols, students in this department are immediately quarantined until October 28.
In addition, the TEFAA secretariat advised students to take the coronavirus test, advising that classes in this department would be held by video conference. In his statements, the dean of the department, Kosmas Christoulas, confirmed the fact, adding that the professor in charge of the department had also been tested, which turned out to be negative.
According to Mr. Christoulas, apart from the specific confirmed case, there was another at the school, but it was a student who had not appeared in recent days and therefore there was no possibility of spreading the coronavirus within his department.
