The new bad weather “Kirki” is ready to “hit” Greece. By the way, the barometric depression causing the new bad weather is already moving eastward and will begin to affect the southwestern regions of our country from tomorrow, Wednesday morning. Gradually, during the day, the phenomenon will spread to the northeast and affect a large part of Greece.
According to the forecast data available from the National Observatory of Athens / Meteo.gr, the most intense phenomena of bad weather will occur on the national anniversary (Wednesday 28/10), with heavy rains and thunderstorms in the Peloponnese, Crete, Eastern Sterea (comprising the east, the Cyclades, Thessaly, Euboea, the islands of the eastern Aegean and, in the afternoon, East Macedonia, Thrace and the north from the Aegean Sea. Hailstorms are forecast in the Cyclades, Crete, the Dodecanese and locally in Eastern Sterea and the Eastern Aegean Islands.
On Thursday, rains and thunderstorms will occur in the east and mainly in the Aegean Sea,which will gradually weaken during the day and be confined to the Dodecanese. At the same time, the winds will be strong Wednesday and locally in the southern Aegean Sea with too strong winds 8-9 Beaufort. In addition, the air circulation will promote the transport of dust from North Africa in particular in the east and the south of the country where the concentrations are increased.
