There is unrest among Roma in Attica and parts of the Peloponnese following the murder of the 18-year-old in Messinia. The episodes continue, with fires of tires and garbage cans on Friday afternoon on Avenue of Athènes, on the border between Ano Liossia and Acharnes in Zefyri, as well as on the Corinth – Patras national road, but also in the other sectors of the Peloponnese.
They reportedly protested the death of an 18-year-old Roma, who was allegedly killed by a 63-year-old man in Messinia when the young man tried to enter his home illegally.
Those gathered at that time closed the Egaleo bypass on Kavala Avenue, whereas previously they had caused incidents with police forces at various locations in Menidi. According to the police, groups of people have blocked the Corinth – Kalamata highway, at the height of the tolls in Arfara of Messinia , while gatherings next to highways take place in Agrinio, Aetoliko and Mesolongi in Etoloakarnania, Achaia in Achaia, Achaia in Lasteika in Ilia, as well as Examilia in Corinth.
