Police in Igoumenitsa questioned five suspected human traffickers

 

This Friday ,Police in Igoumenitsa, western Greece questioned five suspected human traffickers who reportedly planned to transfer 48 undocumented migrants from the coastal town of Parga to Italy on Thursday.The suspected traffickers who are all foreign nationals are between 27 and 30 years old and are suspected of being part of a massive cross-border smuggling racket, according to police and port officials who are looking for other suspected members.

The sailboat and vehicles allegedly used by snowshoes to transfer migrants to Parga were confiscated.
