Sit-in demonstration in Aristotle for distance learning

The administrative building of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki was temporarily and symbolically occupied Monday morning by members of the Student Political Science Initiative and groups that participate in the institution’s student associations to demand that all classes take place in person and not remotely.

The sit-in took place on the first day of the school year and classes across the country were offered through a combination of distance and in-person teaching methods in college classrooms. According to the rules introduced by the Ministry of Education aimed at strictly observing health protocols, departments with laboratories and those offering practical courses with a less theoretical orientation will be conducted in physical presence.
